The Video-based fall detection and prevention system provides continual monitoring (Sentinare sensor) and detection (server-side analytics) of human activities, thus sending alerts to carers (e.g., nurses and family members) when it detects abnormal activities, such as falls and poor postures. Poor postures associated with balance are common reasons for falls. Only stick-figure animations are captured by the system to ensure users’ privacy. The demonstration will use a high-performance PC for server-side analytics and a 40”+ TV monitor to visualize the results.
