MindHaven is a mobile application that leverages artificial intelligence to screen for neurocognitive disorders (NCDs) such as Alzheimer’s Dementia. Users verbally describe an image displayed on the app. MindHaven then analyzes the voice sample using a machine learning model trained on data from participants of diverse cognitive capabilities in Hong Kong. The analysis considers linguistic and vocal features to generate a cognitive score, which can help identify potential early signs of NCDs.
MindHaven is not a diagnostic tool. It serves as a large-scale, cost-effective, and accessible screening instrument for individuals with smartphones. Users can conduct self-assessments or assess loved ones, potentially facilitating early intervention and care planning.
