Function(s):
"Smart Reminder" is designed to address the issue of memory decline among the elderly. Through simple voice input and location features, it helps them record and remind daily tasks, allowing seniors to easily integrate into society and maintain vitality. Research indicates that individuals over the age of 65 experience significant memory decline, as the number of brain nerve cells gradually decreases with age, slowing down information transmission in the brain. This is particularly true for seniors who have suffered from cardiovascular diseases or strokes, as they may forget thoughts from one moment to the next, causing inconvenience in daily life and affecting their quality of life. This can lead to a loss of confidence and increased stress among the elderly.
To tackle memory issues faced by seniors, we designed a program called "Smart Reminder," aiming to help them solve everyday problems. While there are many reminder apps available on the market, they often require typing input and involve complicated setup steps, making it difficult for seniors with poor eyesight. Our program offers a simple operation using voice input and includes location features, with a straightforward and clear interface for easy use.
The "Smart Reminder" program combines recording and reminder functions. After opening the app, seniors only need to press the "Record" icon and state the time, location, and content, which will be automatically saved. For example, if a senior says, "Go to the supermarket at 2 PM to buy tissues," it will automatically recognize "2 PM," "supermarket," and "buy tissues," sending a notification at 2 PM when the phone detects its location at the supermarket. The phone will vibrate, and when the senior taps on the notification, it will automatically play back the recorded voice message. This way, seniors won't be frustrated about forgetting to buy tissues and can ensure that household supplies remain sufficient.
As our program's name suggests, "Smart Reminder" allows seniors to remain vibrant and actively engage in society.
