The Smart Wound Carer is a medical device from MiiS Taiwan that helps with wound healing. It has different types of cameras on the back that can capture 1D, 2D, 3D, and infrared images. The cameras can measure distance, area, depth, and volume of wounds without touching the patient, which is much less unpleasant than the traditional method of using a cotton tip and ruler. Also, it can show the temperature distribution in and around the wound and has a color-coding system to show the stages of wound recovery. The device has a webcam that allows for online video communication for telemedicine, and the app can integrate data, images, and patient ID to send to a specialist or the cloud for analysis and report generation. MiiS is developing a home use version for smartphones, which may be available through a subscription. The device is suitable for individual use at home, care homes, clinics, ENT specialists, optical shops, and hospitals. MiiS covers traditional diagnosis devices, telemedicine, digital home care, and minimally invasive surgery, and develops its own software and host cloud platforms, AI analytics, and telemedicine that allow for the integration of other telehealth devices.
